Tuition costs
Training is carried out based on contracts concluded between the institute, represented by the rector, and the student (or his legal representative). The Rector approves the cost of training by order for each academic year.

Scientific work
Management functions
The Scientific Council of the Institute coordinates scientific research. The vice-rector on scientific affairs supervises planning and the organization of performance of scientific researches.
The main tasks of scientific research work in the Institute
- Prior development of fundamental research as a basis for creating new knowledge, mastering new technologies;
- Effective use of the scientific potential of the Institute in addressing socio-economic, socio-political, managerial, educational problems, the problems of staff professional training, taking into account civilizational features;
- Preservation and development of existing scientific schools, support of new scientific schools and directions;
- The introduction of the results of scientific research and development into the practical activities of enterprises and organizations;
- Consulting and information services;
- Improvement of the educational process at the institute by using the results of scientific research, as well as familiarizing students with the formulation of scientific research and involving them in the scientific process;
- Training of academic staff, constant increase of their professionalism and scientific qualification;
- Creating of conditions for protection of intellectual property and copyright of researchers and developers as the basis for strengthening and development of university science;
- Development of the financial basis of research and development through the use of extra budgetary funds and innovation.
Publications based on the outputs of our international research conferences
Annual collection of materials from research conferences in accordance with the topics of the conferences. It is included in the system of Russian Science Citation Index.
Students’ researches
Students’ researches – necessary part of the scientific activity of the Institute. It is organized and supervised at the departments including the Student Scientific Council. Any student interested in the activities of the Student Scientific Council can become a full-fledged participant of the research activities.
The main forms of scientific work of students are:
- participation in the implementation of planned scientific works of the Institute;
- participation in in-university, interuniversity, all-Russian open competitions of student research papers;
fulfillment of research tasks within the framework of various types of practices; - development of scientific reports, individual creative assignments, reports and abstracts on topical issues of the humanities, social and economic sciences; speeches with them at meetings of the Scientific Society, scientific seminars, round tables and conferences;
- preparation of scientific articles, reviews, abstracts on scientific literature on various aspects of modern science;
- creation of computer presentations of lectures;
- participation in the development of computer textbooks and teaching aids;
- development of sets of slides and visual aids for individual didactic units of educational disciplines etc.

Participation in ENTEP / Enhancing Teaching Practice in Higher Education in Russia and China
The ENTEP project is aimed at improving the quality of education and teaching practices, as well as further developing educational science in Russia and China. Partners with relevant experience in training higher school teachers have created a consortium to share knowledge and experience in the field of improving teaching practices in higher education and achieve joint high-quality results. Participation in international Conferences
IWC annually participates in international forums and conferences:
- Economic Forum in Krynica-Zdroj (Poland). This is the largest conference in Central and Eastern Europe.
- European Congress of Local Governments in Krakow (Poland).
- International Conference “Jean Monnet Conference: Excellence in EU studies”.
- International Conference “Universal and Regional Systems for the Protection of Human Rights” in Warsaw (Poland).
- International Russian-Chinese Forum of Higher Education “Silk Road” in Xi’an (PRC).
Together with the Slavyane Foundation and a number of other scientific and educational organizations of the Russian Federation and the EU, the Institute co-organized the Anniversary International Scientific Conference on the theme: “Russian-Turkish Liberation War of 1877-1878 and the restoration of Bulgarian statehood. The Balkans and Russia: 140 Years Later ”, which took place in Sofia (Bulgaria) in February 2018.
Study visits
WC students took part in study visits to Sanya (China), Copenhagen (Denmark), Berlin (Germany), Xi’an (China), during which they got acquainted with the state structure, the history of parliamentarism and the system of local government in these countries.
As part of the study visit to Copenhagen (Denmark), students of 1-4 courses took part in scientific conferences:
- “Social, political and economic trends in modern Europe on the example of Denmark”,
- “Theory and practice of implementation of political, economic and social projects as an opportunity to solve problems in society on the example of Denmark. From society of individual consumption to society of social justice and responsibility”.
Students prepared scientific articles and presented them in English. At the end of both study visits, students got Certificates of participations.
During the study visit to Germany, the students visited the Bundestag, attended the speech of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, met with deputies and deputy assistants of the Bundestag. Students got acquainted with the mechanism of passing parliamentary inquiries and had the opportunity to hear live answers to Deputy inquiries of German Chancellor A. Merkel.
Two groups of IWC students took cultural and language courses at University of Sanya and Xi’an Fanyi University. During the educational process, Chinese mentors personally helped the students of IWC to adapt to life on campus and cope with linguistic difficulties. In the Chinese culture classes, students learned the basics of Taijiquan, Beijing Opera make-up and calligraphy under the guidance of highly qualified mentors. Upon completion, students got Certificates of successful completion of the practical Chinese language courses.
